Because newborns are most sleepy in the first few days of life, newborn sessions are done some time in the first 10 days of life, and preferably between days 5-10. If you are just finding me now, and your newborn is a couple days passed that, please contact me ASAP and we will do the best we can to set something up right away! These session can take anywhere between 2-5 hours. Some babies take time to fall asleep while others will wake often, making the shoot last longer. It takes time not only to get the baby to sleep, but to pose them perfectly right down to every finger and toe. These precious memories are worth every moment they take. Sessions are held at my studio in Fieldbrook, CA. Props, backdrops, hats, headband, etc are supplied by me, as I select props carefully according to my artistic vision. If there is a prop that you hope to use please contact me prior to the shoot, and we can further discuss it. Once you arrive at my studio, you will feed your baby to his/her satisfaction. After feeding, the rest of the work is up to me. This should be a relaxing, no stress experience for you and your baby. The studio will be very warm (as is needed to keep naked baby warm), so I suggest you do not over dress and bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated. I am open to sibling shots, but these need to be arranged prior to shoot. I suggest bringing the sibling during the first hour or last hour of the shoot only, as 4 hours is too long to expect the sibling to stay and behave. Again, please arrange this with me prior to shoot. Shots with the parents are always fun and encouraged.
